Purchase 8 Units of Dump Truck, DEWA Optimistic in Increasing Productivity
JAKARTA, October 14, 2019 - PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) purchased 8 units of BELAZ-75131 dump trucks from Belazia Pte. Ltd., which is the authorized dealer of OJSC BELAZ for Southeast Asia. The signing of the sale and purchase contract was carried out by DEWA President Director Saptari Hoedaja and DEWA Director Faisal Firdaus with Belazia Director Pte. Ltd. Dzmitry Shershan, at Bakrie Tower, Epicentrum, Jakarta, Thursday (3/10).
The purchase of a number of dump trucks is in line with the need for additional overburden hauler units in the Bengalon coal project, East Kutai, East Kalimantan Province, which is expected to increase the company's production target. Darma Henwa projects an increase in overburden production from the 8 BELAZ dump trucks, totaling 59.56 million bcm within 10 years.
DEWA management assesses that the economic value of the purchase of the BELAZ-75131 dump truck is relatively good with competitive prices and operating costs for the 130 ton class dump truck unit. In addition, BELAZ provides a warranty for 6,000 hours of use or 12 months, as well as efficient maintenance costs.
To adjust to the weather conditions in Indonesia, this Belarusian dump truck is equipped with a rubber specially modified for tropical climates, as well as a modified air conditioning and cooling system.
Currently, BELAZ holds more than 30 percent of the global market for super heavy mining dump trucks. Its sales market covers more than 80 countries.
