Darma Henwa Won 2nd Overall Winner at The 5th IFRC Event in 2016
Darma Henwa won the 2nd overall winner at the 5th IFRC event in 2016. The trophies won by the DEWA IFRC team were:
Gold Trophy - Confined Space Rescue
Gold Trophy - Underwater Rescue
Bronze Trophy - Collapsed Structure & Search Rescue
Bronze Trophy - High Angle Rescue
The Indonesian Fire & Rescue Competition (IFRC) is an annual event organized by the National Disaster Management Agency and the Peace Maintenance Mission Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on November 26 - December 4 2016. This year is the 5th year the event was held with participation of 12 companies in Indonesia. The 1st overall winner was won by PT Berau Coal with the acquisition of 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Champion 2, namely Darma Henwa with the acquisition of 2 gold, 2 bronze and 3rd Winner, namely PT Freeport with the acquisition of 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
The DEWA IFRC team made preparations for this competition for approximately 3 months. During the first 3 weeks, exercises focused on strengthening individual skills for each member. Then entering the fourth week, the DEWA IFRC team began to practice studying and preparing competition scenarios. Joint training has been started since 19 December 2016 until the race ahead. The joint training location is centered in the Satui Coal Project, South Kalimantan and in collaboration with several external trainers from the Basarnas institution who have experience in the rescue and IFRC fields.
